All regs be sure to congratulate simplyHydro and Obelix or suffer their terrible wrath. We really put these two guys through the wringer.
The real question now is what do we do with {SoBs-R}CreamGoodness? Beat him to a pulp? Turn him over to the ex-R's for a helping of barrel-lovin? It's hard to say.
Either way, until I here from our new member's they will be known as {SoBs}simplyHydro and {SoBs}Obelix. (They are allowed to pick whatever name they choose upon recieving their {SoBs} tag, so that may change) |

Okay, I've noticed there are a few of you new guys that consider yourselves "regulars"... this is bunk. Here's why:
1. In order to be a "regular" you cannot just all of a sudden announce "Hey, SoBs, I'm a regular". If you have to announce it, it's just not true.
2. If you find yourself on our 24/7 Arse-ault server a lot, you're probably not a regular.
3. If, while you're reading this, mIRC (or other IRC client) is not on #{sobs} channel on irc.gamesurge.net ... chances are, you're not a "regular".
4. If you've applied for SoBs and said "I'm a regular on your servers" or something to that effect. You're not a regular. Regulars would say something more like "I'm dying to be your whipping boy" or at least we'd get the jist of that from their post.
5. If one of us (SoBs) doesn't personally Instant Message you, at least once, just to call you a bitch... you're not a regular.

Q: I'm labelled "regular" in the forums, doesn't that automatically make me a "regular"??!
A: NO! That only means you post a lot in the forums and you are a "forum regular" being a SoBs regular is different.
Q: Can I be a regular?
A: NO! If you have to ask, the answer is NO.

As of today,according to ServerSpy.Net's server rankings, SoBs officially have the #1 24/7 Assault Server in the world. Good job guys. Also note, we're in the top 100 Half-life mod servers as well, and that really is saying something considering the tens of thousands of Half-Life Mod servers there are.

BoobDay will be filled with cake and death, except we've run out of cake! wednesdays will be the day to play non-rotation maps like piranesi, prodigy, inferno, chateau, havana, OILRIG, 747.... anything else i can think of. starting tomorrow once i get home from class.. To those of you who might be wondering who our regulars are, the new hang-out/hot-spot for SoBs and regular community member CS activity is our Rotation Server. We still play on the 24/7 Assault Server, but the Rotation Server is definately growing back into the VIP club it once was for the SoBs community.
If it's empty, hop in and get it going!
If it's not empty, join in and see if you have what it takes to play with the big dogs.

There's been a lot of discussion about a knife tournament in the forums. I for one would like to see the results, although for DeathStrike's pitiful sake, I won't be competing, no sense in making the wee man cry. :p lol.

So you think Admin is gay, huh? Well, you're dead on with your assumptions, now kids! Now that Unix is admin, admin is definately gay. woohoo! After one of the most grueling stints as a -R in SoBs history Unix was finally welcomed into the fold.

It's been a long time since the news has been updated. so here's the short of it:
No one uses this website for anything but stats, server status, and to get to the forums. McChicken is a homo, Phatty is a bastard, and Sam has unhealthy attachments to squirrels.
That said, please enjoy playing on your servers!

I added SlickQuery to the main page here... It's a BETA version of a serverquerier I wrote that will be publicly available in the next few weeks. Reason being: I don't have screenshots of every frickin' map available to CS. If you'd like to send me screenshots to help me out, please email screenshots, untouched, with no text on the screen (this is done in spec mode with players muted), as that I have an automated conversion process to create the images I need from screenshots.
I own Slickcode which is hosted by Bagger's business, Teknologe. Slickcode will go live in a few weeks and SlickQuery will be available for homepages for FREE from there.
